Delivery Prices

I'll try to keep this as simple as possible.   In the interests of keeping costs to a minimum and avoiding surcharges which inevitably would lead to more expensive delivery  please try to give an address where someone will be available to receive the package.  Work and business addresses are preferred wherever possible.   UK deliveries are currently handled by DHL and smaller items using Royal Mail.

For the first 16 Kg  there is a flat rate charge of £12.25

If your total shipping weight is over this amount  please add 40p per additional Kg.

For instance if you ordered two radios,  the first parcel weighing 11 Kg and the second weighing 9 Kg it would cost £12.25 + £1.60  =  £13.85

Lightweight items such as transistor radios etc are a little bit cheaper  to send

Items up to 6 Kg    £10.00

Really light weight items such as stuff from the Junk Shop or maybe a Roberts Rambler we will send using first class post (if cheaper for you).  Again contact us for a quote.

It is our policy to always quote you the best shipping option for your purchase.  If you need any more details please email us at the usual address.

Channel Islands,  Scottish Islands etc.  Please contact us for a delivery quote.

All our large packages within mainland Europe are delivered using  FedEx

Throughout the USA and Canada packages are delivered by FedEx.

Throughout Australasia and the Far East our packages are delivered by FedEx.

How to Order

To order from us is simple.  Just send an email in or telephone with your requirements.  We will get back to you to confirm delivery.  From that point the items you want will be reserved for 10 days  (longer for international customers).  As soon as your method of payment arrives we will pack your goods and get them on their way to you.   Regular customers get immediate despatch on confirmation.

UK Customers

Please make cheques and postal orders payable to 'Past Times Radio'

Sorry no credit / debit card facilities at the moment  -  the reason for this is simply due to the running expenses we have to endure here in the UK.    We do accept payment using PayPal  in Sterling.  Using their services you can pay by credit card.

Mainland European Customers

Please make cheques and postal orders payable to 'Past Times Radio'

Money orders should be in Pounds Sterling,  and drawn on a UK clearing bank.  One day when we join the Euro this will be a lot easier.  You can also pay by bank draft in Euros or US$ but this will attract a 12 Euro cashing fee.

The simplest method within Europe is to send cash in the post  - use registered mail only for this.  We accept Pounds Sterling, Euros and CHF at the current exchange rate.  There is no additional fee for currency.

We also accept PayPal  -  in Pounds Sterling  -  send the payment to our usual email address  richard@pasttimesradio.co.uk  There is no charge for using this service.

USA, Canada and the rest of the world

Please make cheques (checks)  and postal orders payable to 'Past Times Radio'

In Canada the cheapest way to pay for you is to get an International Postal Order made out in Pounds Sterling. The maximum amount we can cash per postal order here in the UK is £100 pounds sterling.  If the total is over this amount make sure that your post office gives you two or more postal orders.  There is no additional charge for cashing this in the UK.

In the USA you can get international money orders made out in pounds sterling from many banks however they are not as common (or cheap) as they are in Canada.

We also accept bank drafts, checks etc in US$ or CAN$  however there is a $10 (US) cashing fee to add to the total.  This is part of what my bank charges me to cash a non UK check / cheque.

We also accept payment by our international customers using their  credit / debit card online together with the secure services of PayPal.  There are no cashing fees involved with this method of payment, so it will save you money too !

Have a look at www.paypal.com for more details.

Cash in the post in Pounds Sterling or Euros is acceptable.  This is the easy way to pay and is reliable in my experience.  You must however send the letter by registered or guaranteed delivery to ensure that the contents are insured.
